For Aileen, founder of holistic healing brand Sphaera Lucis, the road to entrepreneurship didn’t start with a business plan – it started with a personal struggle.
"I was going through a difficult time," she shares. "And my husband said, why not try crystals?" That simple suggestion led Aileen down a path of crystal healing, Reiki training, and a profound personal transformation. She pursued formal training from the U.S. and U.K., immersing herself in practices that ultimately shifted her worldview and changed her life.
"I never thought I could be this patient," she says. "Holistic healing taught me to slow down, and motherhood reinforced that."
Sphaera Lucis, which offers energy healing sessions and self-enrichment classes, was born from that journey. As a mother and a holistic healing practitioner, Aileen sees clear parallels between nurturing a child and nurturing a business. "Both require patience. Both require flexibility. And neither follows a set schedule."
She’s built her practice around authenticity and practicing what she preaches. "If I tell my clients to rest, I also have to make time to rest. If I want them to find balance, I have to model that balance. Because when I'm able to care for myself, then I'm able to care for my family, and I'm able to provide the kind of healing experience that I envision to provide for our clients. That is the challenge, but that is also one of the exciting parts about being in the holistic wellness space, because you have to be able to do what you advise your clients to do."
For Aileen, one of the most rewarding parts of her work is hearing from clients who have experienced real transformation after their sessions. “It brings me so much joy when someone messages me to say, ‘Aileen, after our energy healing session, I was finally able to face my stressors and manage my energy better,’” she shares. “That’s exactly what Sphaera Lucis is here for—to help people nurture themselves, grow, heal, and expand, and to integrate holistic practices into their everyday lives.”
Motherhood has deepened her empathy, refined her leadership, and brought new meaning to her mission. “Being a mompreneur is growing a purpose-driven business while being present for your child. It’s not easy, but it’s deeply fulfilling.”
