PayMongo announces new President and CEO

The Board is pleased to announce the appointment of Jojo Malolos as President and CEO of PayMongo, effective February 1, 2023. As part of this appointment, Isabel Ridad will be stepping down as Interim CEO and will be leaving the company as she pursues her own venture. To ensure a smooth transition, Isabel will assist Jojo by remaining at the firm until the end of February and will continue to serve on the PayMongo Board of Directors thereafter. On behalf of the Board, and everyone at PayMongo, we would like to express our gratitude towards Isabel for her leadership and commitment over the past few years. In her role as COO and more recently CEO, she has held the helm with great resolve and is leaving the company in a strong position. We would like to wish Isabel the very best in her future endeavors.

As CEO, Jojo will be responsible for re-shaping PayMongo's plans for the company’s next phase of growth. Like many other companies, we are entering this scale-up period amidst a challenging market environment and Jojo will be leading the efforts to ensure success by implementing a broad range of transformation initiatives. The Board has confidence in Jojo's experience and his ability to effect and manage change as he brings significant experience in M&A, organizational transformation and a track record in the fintech, venture capital, digital banking and innovation ecosystems.

Jojo will also lead the introduction of PayMongo's next generation of products and services with a view to better serve our existing client base and drive the advancement of the internet economy in the Philippines and more broadly, Southeast Asia. In addition to this, with our newly issued EMI license, Jojo will continue to focus the organisation on driving significant impact in the digital financial services sector.

We look forward to welcoming Jojo as he takes the helm of one of the fastest-growing scale-ups in the country and continue to appreciate the organisation’s support as we navigate the organisation towards continued success.
